Inside the rooms, there were some good upgrades like new shower tile and fixtures, new flooring (not carpet). The bedroom floor and furnishings were new and the entire room was clean. The room (king) was large. Even though the motel is right on PCH highway 1, if you are not in a front room, it is pretty quiet, especially after 10 pm. The room has an open closet with hangers, luggage rack, desk, fridge, tv. There is no light on the bedside tables, but dimming overhead lights over the head of the bed. The rooms are cleaned every morning, which is nice.

Great views, helpful staff, the room was very clean and bright, definitely felt comfortable like we were at home except we were walking distance to the beach.

The hotel room was immaculate with maid service daily. The room was really big too with great views of the bay. All appliances worked and are up to date. The lighting is great with dimming options as well. All the corners were clean and not overlooked like most hotels, even really expensive nice ones. Truly clean hotel and the staff was also very friendly.

Stunning views: mountains + bay. 3 mins of driving to the nearest beach with free parking or 15 mins of walking Rooms are renovated and they really look nice (surf theme) Covered parking Bathtub We were planning to stay only 3 days, but we liked the place so we stayed more to enjoy a great weather on the beach

The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms smelled great as soon as we walked through the door. We were lucky enough to be there on a slow night, so the owner allowed me to park my truck, with the boat hitched to it, across multiple parking spots. I know it was a one off score, but they were very kind to offer that option to me. Thank you

Honestly I've been trying out different places in the surrounding area because I'm there once or twice a month and I have to say the customer service was excellent here. Place was super clean and even though it was close to the highway it was actually pretty quiet. I had an issue with my booking. I think it was an issue with booking.com or user error maybe both but some how my reservation had gotten canceled not sure how or why but that's okay. The lady there I can't remember her name for the life of me but she went out of her way to make sure we had a place to stay. And honestly for a home away from home it was really comfortable. The overhead shower was a treat.

Me and my friend stayed at Surf City Inn for 1 night and its exactly what we were looking for. Affordable stay, remodeled room with 2 comfortable beds and great location. Right across the street from the beach and short drive to downtown Seal Beach. I would definitely recommend this Inn.

This little hotel is a great value. Near to the ocean in the PCH. Its basic, no amenities, but very comfortable and clean. Coffee in the room, a microwave and mini fridge. A few steps from a delightful locals coffee shop and groceries if needed.
